DECISION DUE ON CAMERAS — red light camera ban approved by voters in November maybe contested in court by the red light camera companies who profit from those pricey tickets.

NEW CITY MANAGERS — an exodus of city managers in 2012 leaves Southwest Riverside County with new managers. Are these (so far) men ready to lead the region to its destiny?

WINE COUNTRY PLAN — this massive plan has undergone rigorous vetting by the county Planning Commission and in 2013 the Board Supervisors get their crack at it. Its approval will outline the future development of Wine Country, and lots of interests are competing for attention in this process.

FRENCH VALLEY PARKWAY — could this get here any quicker? It’s very rare for cities to take on their own freeway projects, but precedence isn’t going to make Temecula shy away from building a new freeway exit north of Winchester Road off Interstate 15.

SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION — voters in November supported lots of school renovation and construction projects. We’ll likely see the start of a bunch of construction in 2013.
